The Washford Inn has recently been completely renovated, including the B&B facilities. Mine host is extremely friendly and is ensuring every detail is spot on for his guests. The meal we had was of superb quality and not expensive. Recommended without reservation.

We were well looked after but Cyril and his lovely lady Vanessa and staff.
As a family we pool what we'd spend on Christmas presents and spend it on a long weekend away. As we were staying at The Dragon Hotel down the road this fitted the bill.
Our visit consisted of an evening meal. We did not stay overnight so the hotel related questions are not relevant for our visit.

Visited this pub today for first time as staying at nearby Porlock and fancied a nice pub lunch with my wife and elderly father in law and the pub looked very nice and inviting from outside. We received a very nice welcome from the landlord who ensured we were comfortably seated and warm enough as weather was cold outside.
The food was well priced and was all home cooked and fresh and was exceptional.
The chicken pie, gammon and fish & chips were delicious and I would say that it was one of the nicest meals we have had at a pub at lunchtime.
