Here at the Washford Inn we have a passion for local produce. Our meat is sourced from the best Somerset and North Devon farmers and our menu is changed in accordance with the local season and availability. Some say our Somerset lamb is the best in the World but the Devon Red beef is not to be neglected either. Our fish supplier wakes up at 4 AM every day to deliver us the freshest of Brixham market fish selection.
For us is essential to serve good quality food at affordable price, with low carbon footprint and something we call "low service miles". This means that the closer the produce is, the lower the impact on our planet.
Our chef takes pride in every dish and always aims to create original and modern food with influences from around the World.
Take a look at out sample menus and give us a call to book a table in our chic restaurant so you can indulge in our delicious homemade food.
Our Autumn lunch menu provides fuel for the passers by as well as for those who decide to have a bite before the steam train takes them on a beautiful journey across the Exmoor and Quantock Hills. Apart from the usual classics we also serve delicious fresh local fish cooked to perfection by our chef. Our Sunday lunch is extremely popular so make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Dinner should be special. Our evening menu has something to offer for everyone. Guests can enjoy some of the best local produce, combined with care to give you the best taste possible. The local butcher sells us his own lamb, Torweston Farm produces delicious potatoes and local fisherman bring us their catch of the day to provide the freshest ingredients for our menu.
