About Us

The stunning scenery is a walkers paradise with an abundance of walks starting from our front door. For those of you that enjoy fishing Wimbleball Lake is 15 min drive for carp fishing or the coast line offers fantastic sea fishing. We pride ourselves on being family friendly and offer a children’s menu which contains a free activity for your littles to enjoy. We are located 10 mins away from the Bristol channel and Minehead Beach. With the added benefit of a bed and breakfast of 8 en-suite rooms we offer affordable accommodation for those looking for a relaxing breakaway near the sea or a base for those of you that want to take in the many tourist attractions on our doorstep. Most of our rooms overlook the Washford Steam train’s antiquated station platforms and Museum Surrounded by a wonderful farming community we have a huge source of local West Country produce ranging from the many Somerset Cheese’s, fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables and this is the platform of which our menu is based around. The Washford Grill has been intentionally designed to suit most tastes and budgets, while showcasing the local produce of Exmoor steak and Somerset Lamb. We also cater to the vegan and vegetarian menu choices as well as a those with gluten free requirements. In addition to this we also operate a Sunday carvery featuring real meat gravy and seasonal dressed vegetables which of course includes a plant based option.
